About · History
From a hospital queue to a whole hospital.
HealthEase did not start as a product plan. It started as a fix for one of the busiest outpatient departments in Karachi, and grew from there.
-
2023
The first version
Dex N Hex starts building a patient queue system: registration in seconds, a printed token, and a live board the whole waiting room can read.
-
February 2024
Dex N Hex is registered
The business behind the work is formally registered on 15 February 2024.
-
March 2024
Live at the Institute of Skin Diseases, Karachi
The queue system replaces paper slips in the hospital's outpatient department. Four patient counters run with four operators, plus one operator for data entry. Dex N Hex staff run the counters and train two ISD employees, who then run it alongside them. The deployment is sponsored by a pharmaceutical company.
-
2024 to 2026
More than two years of daily use
The sponsor's six-month contract is renewed three times in a row, and the system runs every day for more than two years. HealthEase registers more than 3 million patient visits, 3,000 to 5,000 a day, at 15 to 20 seconds per registration.
-
Along the way
From a queue to a whole facility
Real use keeps asking for more: patient records, prescriptions, billing, pharmacy, inventory, wards, staff attendance and reports. The queue system becomes clinic and hospital management software.
-
January 2026
Vanta (Private) Limited
The business moves from Dex N Hex to Vanta (Private) Limited, incorporated in January 2026. HealthEase, the team and the clinics running on it move with it.
